2009 Lincoln Cents LP1 Log Cabin
 

Anyone out there buy any of the $8.95 LP1 two roll mint sets when they went on sale a few months back? The premiums on eBay for them right now are ridiculous, so I'm looking to see if anyone around has any extra sets (looking for 2-3) they might be willing to make a swap for some silver or other coins. PM me if interested at all as I missed Round 1 of the new penny design. Thanks!

I'm not selling but I can tell you it took me 2 months to finally receive mine from the US Mint. I ordered on the first day (February) but got the "Log Cabin" in April.
I though the Mint's premium was bad enough....but fleabay is ridiculous! :sarcasm:

Im sorry OP you will probably have ahard time having someone sell them to you at offering price or even at double offering price.

Yeah double price I wouldn't mind, it's the 6x-10x premium on eBay that has me running. I figured a fellow collector might be interested in swapping some other coins or silver for a few sets. Additionally I ordered several of the LP2 sets last week and would be willing to swap set for set if anyone didn't get any of those but is also looking to get the complete collection.

I'd be selling these like crazy right now.
$1.00 worth of pennies for $100 ????
I guess the collectors put these in with their beanie baby and pet rock collection?

So true - but frankly the PENNY is the highest collected coin out there. As anybody can afford to try.

I only wish 50 + some years ago I collected coins instead of stamps. :4_1_72: Back in 1955 I sold 2 1909 VDB pennys in AU/MS bright RED condition - for the grand price of $10.00 each and thought I was rich!

I was only 11 then ... some things EL CHEAPO will never forget! :cry1:

So.....anyone interested in swapping? =) Some crappy zinc for some silver, what a trade! I've got funny 2.5g Silver Pamp bars for trade and maybe even a 2009 BU UK Britannia if anyone wants to off load a LP1 penny set or two.

anyone know of any errors on these log cabins? I pulled an almost bu with what i believe to be a die error out of the toll booth reject tub the other day......I'll try to post pics after work.

I got all mine in change from walmart. No banks in the area have them, but walmart is handing them out in change.

I was gonna get some of them at the bank but I missed them by a few hours. Somebody had already nabbed them! :censored:
